A girly, outdoorsy, slightly magical club for women of every age to craft, explore, build community, and make new friends — one patch at a time.
What is this?
Like the clubhouse you always wished you had — but for grown-ups.
Whimsy Scouts is a come-as-you-are sisterhood built on curiosity, color, and a little glitter. We gather to make things with our hands, wander beautiful places, and turn strangers into friends. No experience, no pressure, and absolutely no perfection required — just show up and play.
The patch system
Every adventure earns a patch.
When you join, you get your very own Patch Tote. Each Whimsy Scouts gathering — a craft night, a sunrise hike, a campfire — has its own special embroidered patch. Take part, earn the patch, and stitch it onto your tote. Over time your tote becomes a one-of-a-kind map of everywhere you've been and everything you've made.
Trailblazer
Earned on your first group hike or outdoor adventure.
Garden Bloom
Earned at a planting, pressing, or botanical craft day.
Campfire Glow
Earned at an evening gathering, s'mores, or stargazing night.
Maker's Mark
Earned at any hands-on craft, sewing, or DIY workshop.

Every new Scout receives a Patch Tote — your canvas to fill with memories from every gathering.
Show up & take part
Join us for crafts, hikes, picnics, and pop-ups. Each event has its own collectible patch.
Earn your patch
Complete an event and earn that gathering's patch to add to your tote.
Stitch your story
Iron or sew each patch onto your tote and watch your adventures add up, one patch at a time.
What we do together
Crafting, wandering, and a whole lot of belonging.
Craft Days
Embroidery, candle pouring, pressed-flower art, journaling — bring your hands and we'll bring the supplies.
Outdoor Wanders
Gentle hikes, picnics, foraging walks, and golden-hour photo strolls through the Upper Cumberland.
Campfire Nights
S'mores, stargazing, and slow conversations under string lights and open sky.
Skill Swaps
Members teach members — mending, gardening, watercolor, or whatever magic you've got up your sleeve.
Seasonal Socials
Cozy markets, holiday make-and-takes, and themed meetups to celebrate every season.
Community Care
Group projects that give back to Cookeville and the people and places we love.
